The next general election in Pakistan is scheduled to be held this year. As the election is approaching, there are still uncertainties amongst the the Pakistanis in drawing a conclusion about the next ruling party because of several factors. As to now, the possible candidates are Tehrek-e-Insaf leader and former cricketer star Imran Khan and former military ruler Parvez Musharraf. But no one knows yet,who would be nominated from the ruling Pakistan Muslim League (nawaz) and their political rival Pakistan People Party. Following ouster of Nawaz Sharif both from the post of the Prime Minister and from the top most position in his party. Political analyst aren't clear finding the 'right ' replacement of Mr. Sharif. Most of the family members of the 'Sharif Dynasty' are facing corruption allegations. So, most possibly, someone from outside the home of Nawaz would get party's nomination.
On the other end, Pakistan Peoples Party is suffering badly because of cold-war between Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and his father Asif Ali Zardari. While Asif is known as the most corrupt individual, his son Bilawal is portrayed as a playboy. Under such circumstances, leadership of this party may go into the hands of real Bhuttos,such as daughter of Murtaja Bhutto from the hands of de facto Bhutto like Bilawal. In this case, Pakistan would get another strong and patriotic female leader at the political forefront.
Analysts say,a change of leadership in the Pakistan Peoples Party would actually create a bright prospect for this party in returning to power.

Has the celebration of Bengali new year back-fired?

There is a military terminology called 'blow-back', meaning any experiment by any intelligence or military strategists had received a negative result. In our societies, ruling elites take some whimsical decision, which ultimately turn as counter-productive. In India, our friendly neighbours, the madness of some radical Hindus on taking extreme measures on the Muslims even by murdering for the 'crime' of consuming beef or the forceful conversions of Muslims and Christians into Hinduism ultimately would bring no pleasant consequence. By doing this, the radical Hindus actually are inciting riots between non-Hindus and Hindus.
In contrary, if our Hindu neighbours in India will look into Bangladesh, Indonesia, Malaysia or even United Arab Emirates, they certainly won't find any such religious madness and extremist at all. Because, Islam is the religion of peace - not confrontation.
In 2016, all on a sudden, Bangladesh government, more precisely the ruling party had encouraged people to celebrate Bengali new year or Pohela Boishakh, with the spirit of an interfaith festival. Government establishments and institutions got instructions from country's supreme command of giving Pohela Boishakh a flavour and colour much brighter and louder than religious festivals such as Eid or Puja respectively of Muslims and the Hindus. No one knew, this theory was transmitted from some of the Bharariya Janata Party bigwigs.
Pohela Boishakh had always been observed with due festivity in Bangladesh, West Bengal and Sri Lanka. But, the 2016 celebration of this Bengali new year had ultimately turned into a total mess. Ruling party youths had all the energy of molesting girls and women during the Bengali new year procession namedMongol Shovajatra. Finally, the same government had to impose too much restrictions in the subsequent Bengali new year celebration in 2017! and 2018!
We are going to welcome another Bengali new year 1425 on the second week of April this year. And for sure, once again, under too harsh and too much restrictions. Doesn't it prove - excess of everything is bad?

Lets stop accusing the political opportunist!

On 16march 2018,Dhaka's leading English language newspaper The Daily Star,on its back page published a news item titled "AL OR BNP"alongside two gigantic photograph of the electoral posters of a poor counsel chairman. Through this news item the newspaper wanted to show that with the change of time this man has shifted from Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) to Bangladesh Awami League (AL).Such tendencies are nothing new in this subcontinent,be it in India or Bangladesh. Political opportunist always are smarter and "blessed" people. For example, if the newspaper wanted to proof the poster as a document of Abul Kalam Azad opportunist mindset then hopefully they can remember the cabinet secretary of Khandakar Mustaque Ahamed,darling of the killers of Bangabandu Shiekh Mujibur Rahaman has been the political adviser to prime minister Sheikh Hasina(Bangabandu's daughter ) for many years.If abettor, appeaser could inserted himself to prime minister's inner circle which is definitely a very important position, why in the world a poor rural politician like Abul Kalam Azad would be criticised.

Its time to build up new diplomatic relation of Bangladesh

Only political pundits would understand, South Asian region is gradually heading towards a tremendous socio;political challenges with the rise of authoratarlan rules in Maldives and Bangladesh, cruel Hindutva on India and ongoing Holocaust in Myanmar. If anyone understands the core reason behind rise of religious extremism and terrorism then s/he would easily realize a simple math that Islamist jihadist groups certainly will choose Bangladesh , Myanmar and the entire north-eastern territory in India as their next battle ground. We have heard very little of Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA), but we still do not know much about other groups such as All Qaeda in Indian Subcontinent (AQIS). Lashkar e Toiba - Indian front, Hizbut Tahtir, Hefajat e Islam Bangladesh etc. Tabligh Jamaat are patronized by India as its ultimate goal is to establish India's suprimacy over Muslims in the subcontinent.
Latest agenda of Hindu India and notorious Hindu India and notorious Hindu-militancy outfits like RSS or radical Hindu groups like Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are to eliminate non-Hindu population from the Indian subcontinent including Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Bangladesh and Pakistan in a systematic way. Indian policymakers want to either eliminate the non-Hindus or get the non-Hindus converter into Hinduism by any means. India is terribly ruthless towards freedom fighters in the north-eastern states, while it exerts fullest influence I'm suffocating the voice of Khslistan, thus crushing the dream and aspirations of the Sikh population on having a country of their own. India even does not tolerate any voice in favor of Khalistan liberation movement either inside or outside India. Recently, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his team of Hindu policymakers showed unimaginable diplomatic indecency with the Canadian Prime Minister during his India tour, simply because, there are five Sikh ministers in Justin Trudeau's cabinet. Narendra Modi and his gang even branded these five ministers as 'Khalistanis' and almost openly said, India in unwilling to cooperate with Canada if Sikhs are included in any cabinet. Possibly for this reason, United States refrains from appointing any Sikh in any of the important offices of the administration. India's cruel Hindu face had already come under international scrutiny when Indira Gandhi sent troops to the holy Golden Temple in Amritsar, Punjab to crush the Khalistan liberation movement. Indian troops, under the Operation Blue Star, massacred hundreds of Sikhs. It was also reported that Sikh girls and women had been raped during this ruthless massacre while mobs of Hindu radicals went into rampage on the Sikh homes and also raped hundreds of girls and women and slaughtered boys, men, girls and women end messe. After this brutality, eminent Indian journalist Khuswant Singh wrote, "for the first time I realized, I am not an Indian - I am a Sikh."
We all know,majority of the world population are in favor of peace. United States, China and many other global powers are tirelessly working in eliminating terrorism and religious hatred from the face of the earth. But, possibly the growing crisis in this part of the world and the speedy rise of radical Hindu terrorism in one hand and the potential risk of Bangladesh, Myanmar and the north-east and West Bengal in India, going into the grips of Islamist militants aren't getting proper exposure. For the sake of peace in this region, Bangladesh must form closer ties with China and the US without wasting any time.

Israel turns into another Frankenstein

Murder of innocent people always considers as a crime against humanity. On the other hand applying military force disproportionately on un-armed civilians too is a dangerous crime. If Russia could face tremendous diplomatic war from the Western countries just because of nerve agent attack on two individuals, why not the entire world including the Muslim ummah stood up immediately against Israel's atrocious and outrageous offensive on Palestinian male and female.
In recent past we have witness the furious reaction of Israel and its Zionist force against British labour party leader Jeremy Corbyn. What surprise me is, instead of standing on his foot against poking Zionist nose in his political matter, Jeremy Corbyn already has kneeled down in front of the Zionist in an unprecedented manner. This particular incident clearly indicates Israel as a Frankenstein state.
UN deputy political affairs chief, Mr Taye Brook Zerihoun said" Israel must uphold its responsibilities under international human rights and humanitarian law. Lethal force only be used as last resort with any resulting fatalities properly investigated by the authorities".But the Israeli Prime Minister shown the audacity to the world and rejected not only the investigation against the perpetrators but also congratulate them for barbaric atrocities. Videos were being shared online where Israeli forces firing to the escaping protesters. That causes 16 killed, more than 1400 were wounded and majority were injured by live fire. Despite this fact and figure, Mr Trump also denounced the strong demand of proper investigation process where it is very clear that Mr. President is nothing but a leap dog of Jewish Israel.
"Where are you Arabs? Where are you Muslims?" mourners chanted at funeral calling on the Arab and Muslim world to intervene. I am shocked, when Jewish are going to celebrate of illegal occupation of Palestinian's land and committing genocide with the innocent Palestinians at that time crown prince of Saudi Arabia is busy with officials of AIPAC,stand up for Israel (ADL),Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA) and right wing Jewish organizations who have donated millions to illegal settlement building movement. I will not be surprised if crown prince not only recognize Israel but also Jerusalem as the capital of Jewish State.

Physicians are not devils or villains

There are hundreds of categories of professions, where only few are service oriented while rest are mere profit making. Journalism always is considered as noble profession and for that reason,press is considered as one of the pillars of democracy. But this brief article is about those people, who select the profession of a physician. There is no argument that most of the doctors dedicate themselves towards service to the humanity while may be a small fractions indulge into mere money making.In Bangladesh, every doctor is required to spend at least three years in the rural areas. This is a mandatory provision, failing which ,license issued to the doctors would be revoked.While the government has to imposed this serious provisions, the ground reality is - there even are no housing or accommodation facility for this doctors to stay in the rural areas. It must be reciprocal from government's side to provide services into root level. If government thinks doctors must follow this rules as they have chosen a noble profession, we may ask - is choosing a service oriented profession a crime.

Movie reflects the society!

On 29 march 2018,Dhaka's leading English newspaper The Daily Star published a investigative report from Brahmanbaria where impersonation happened for an alleged drug peddler. Great job done by reporter Mr. Masuk, who brought this story in broad day light and remind us that movie reflects the society.Brahmanbaria is a bordering area with India and renowned for drug smuggling. Definitely this causes excess flow of black money. That's the main reason for all illegal activities and formed bad syndicates. Obviously Hanan & Selim performed movie which juggled the judiciary is not the single exception but one from manifold.Here only poor lawyer was pointed out but no doubt it's a syndicate project. After surrender of an accuse, it is the prime job of the court to identify that person correctly by investigatory organisation empowered by our constitution is police. As it was a drug related case and the petitioner also is from police then how this matter is ignored from court dock.It is a very serious issue and demands a strong investigation by a strong committee. Other cohorts and syndicates must be brought under investigation report. An exemplary punishment must be rewarded to this case and other's unidentified cases.If all the culprits are not punished this time then mere making Dolonara an 'escape goat' will be giving a free chit to the culprits.
